@altenbach : but wouldn't this keep the same scale during the plotting? or will this keep updating?

This thread is quite busy, so I am not sure what you mean by the word "this". The graph will keep the same scale and aspect ratio, even if the data is updated.

Another option would be do make your own from scratch using a picture indicator.

"this" refers to your option with 1, 2, 3. Won't the data end up out of scale after a while then?

Well, that depends on the data, of course. 😄 You can always get the max (abs(x) and abs(y)), round to the next highest integer, then set all axes accordingly, keeping things square.

Gave it a try, but didn't get it to work at all.

Kentmey,

It is time for you to show us what you are trying.  Please post your latest VI along with some data and an explanation of what is not working.

I am not sure why you marked this post as solution, because it certainly does not sound like one! 😄

For a simple example using a picture, open the example finder and look at the example named "Waveform and XY Plots.vi". Here is an image of the front panel. Both "graphs" are simple picture controls.

He must have discovered that it's impossible.  LabVIEW has no provisions for doing such a thing.

Sort of, made a square graph ( with some assistance from NI engineer) with maximum of the axis the max of x and y axis. Kind of makes the trick. Thanks for your help and ideas anyway.
