Right Click on Terminal to add Event case

Status: Completed

This functionality is available in LabVIEW 2018 and later. More specifically,

1. You can right-click a control terminal and create a new event for the control with the Create > Event Case submenu. Note that there must be exactly one event structure on the diagram in order for this menu to be present.

2. There are now Filter strings in the Edit Events dialog to filter the list based on the name of the event source or the event type.

Event Sources can be time consuming in finding when you have lots of FP objects.

Like the idea with Right Click menu option on terminal to add Event Case if it is applicable. (Event Structure must exist)

Also it would be useful if we have option to search Event Sources in Edit Event Dialog Box. As you type the name of the terminal it sorts it self and display only names of event sources that matches.

What if more than one event structure exists on a BD? You would need a submenu below "Add Event" that dynamically populates the all Event Handler Structure Labels available on the diagram.
