This may be a "duplicate", but certainly no hard feelings, because there's no standard term for what this type of a mechanism should be called, and therefore it's impossible to search the archives if the idea already existed. I called it "Forcing" a wire, but it could also be called something like "data injection", or as you suggested simply "editing data".
Any ideas on standarding a name for what this feature should be called?
