LabVIEW 2022 Beta Now Available

Welcome to the LabVIEW 2022 Public Beta!

The LabVIEW 2022 Beta is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

  • To download, visit https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview-beta.html#452014
  • Activate with serial number L12V86837
  • The Windows version is available to everyone, but only customers with active SSP will be able to download the Mac and Linux versions.
  • NI recommends that you install the Beta on a dedicated test machine or VM. Please note that you will need to uninstall the Beta if you want to install the release version (which will be called LabVIEW 2022 Q3) on the same Windows machine, since NIPM does not support upgrading from the Beta.

Known issues

  1. (Windows 32-bit) QuickDrop crashes intermittently
    1. Workaround: deselect the option: Ctrl-Space (launch Quick Drop) -> Configure -> Options -> Enable relevancy-based search
  2. (Windows 32-bit) Network streams and shared variables crash
  3. New VI Server method “Rearrange Z-order” can cause crashes. This method will not be included in the upcoming release.

Thank you for your participation! I look forward to seeing your feedback.

Thanks, Will try it.

I am curious why the download page still also offers the 2021 beta. I thought that has expired.

Hi Christina,

 thanks for letting us know.

Is there a list of new features? I did google it shortly but didn’t find anything.

 Thanks and cheers,

Niko

Hi Dany,

Thanks for letting us know! The team is looking into why the serial number activation isn't working.

Hi Niko,

The other Product Owners and I will start separate threads about new features over the next few days, and then I'll update the download post with a list.

Thanks for your patience!

Christina

Thanks Christina. Does this support macOS 12 (Monterey)?

The previous (2021) beta forum seems to be deleted?

(To me,) there would be value in keeping the old beta forums...

Can't give an example why, as it's gone.

We plan for this release to support Intel-based Macs with macOS 12, so we'd appreciate testing the Beta on it!

As far as I know, there are still issues with Rosetta 2 running LabVIEW, so we're not going to officially support M1 Macs with this release.

We archived the previous Beta forum. We're trying to keep the forums "tidy" by closing out inactive forums.

When this Beta closes, please let me know if you'd like us to consider keeping this forum in the future. It would help me to have specific content that illustrates why keeping the forum will be valuable.
