The Challenge
1. Rigid animation is not expected, so how to make every animation surprising and different?
2. How to make the Light Cube not just for display but also for games, which can make it more interesting ?In the module of Gravity Snake, the null point of the accelerometer and gyro scope will change as the temperature change, so the inaccurate angle may leads to instability.
3. In the module of Music Box, if the selected data is quite large all the time, the Light Cube will be full screen all along, contributing to unpleasant display.
4. In the module of Full-screen Gyration, a new way is expected to control the gyrating speed.
5. In the module of Gesture Control of Full-screen Gyration, how to utilize the camera to do the locating and the real-time tracking of the target area (palm)?
The Solution
1. By designing a rational algorithm to establish an impeccable judgment, the picture data can automatically generate.
2. Add some classic games, such as Tetris and Gluttonous Snake, and some with gravity sensor. Use LabVIEW to design a good game interface, and make the game more interesting.
3. During initialization, design a program to track the null point of the accelerometer and the gyro scope, and use complementary filter to make the angel data more stable.
4. Add the self-adaptive functions, and the maximum of the scale value will automatically updated by arithmetic judgment.
5. Add the gesture control function, and utilize the camera to capture images, which can control the gyrating speed of the figure.
6. To help the camera find the palm at the very beginning, in the same condition, the program will get its color first according which it can find the palm and get its grey value.If the palm’s movement deform, the program can realize it judging by the descent of similarity. So it will mark the current location of the palm and retake the gray value. From this aspect, this algorithm is similar to human’s brain which can learn independently. To illustrate, this program can memory ten characters of the hand, of which there are five will never change once learned. In other words, these five characters ever exist. While another five can be relearned according to the existing characters
and similarity changes, which means these five can update constantly.

world. Apart from good appearance, we also endeavor to make the LEDcube more interesting by incorporating classic games, gravity sensor and audio accompaniment. The cool visual effect along with theinterestingcontent will definitely provide you with fantastic experience.
LabVIEW provides a very well support for the hardware,it helped us a lot by make the data acquisition and processing easier.In addition ,Labview to provide a large number of functions to facilitate the
processing of data, greatly reducing development time, VISION module allows us to better achieve the gesture control.
