help with data table

I am a new user of LookoutDirect and as luck would have it I need to use a Data Table.  I have spent the better part of a month tying to get it setup.  I found an example on this website which does exactly what I want to do and still can't get it figured out.  There just seems to be some things that are not explained in any of the manuals.  I think I have it worked down to a few very specific questions.  I have most of my application going but this data table has me by the throat.  Should I just post the questions on here or try to get hooked up with someone to assist me?
