Why demobox for lookout basics is not communication?

In the alarms window: No communication response from modbus secondary.

Are you using the default settings for the Modbus object?  Also make sure that the serial cable is a straight one (as opposed to a null-modem one).

Are you using a staright-through serial cable?  Can you verify that the COM port itself is functioning correctly.  You can do this by doing the "loopback" test:
