You say you want to have the display "exactly like the previous version". If you already know what the max and min of you plots are, why don't you just programmatically set them?

natasftw, I looked at the printed output data and the timestamps are identical, so that doesn't appear to be the problem.

jamiva, the old program was autoscaling, so I don't know programmatically what I want.

This is really more of an issue at this point of needing to document the reason for the change.
