Thank you for sharing, but when I run "makesegmentthinclientexample. VI", I am prompted that the control named "log file component commands. CTL" cannot be found. Can you share it? Thank you.

Hello, sorry for delay; been busy with work + a short vacation.

The Log File Manager is something I added to that particular VI.  You could just remove all references to it.  I use it during debugging phase. 

Log File Manager has nothing to do with mdsplus; it's a nice utility I "borrowed" from some place else years ago.

I attached it below for your use.
