i think i understood your problem.

1) do not set the x scale to autoscale

2) transform the chart to a waveform chart.

3) insert the 3 arrays into waveform where you can set intial time and dt.

here t0 is actually your output time stamp.

play!

Hi Ravens Fan,

yes I want 10:30:15 , for me it doesn`t matter which custom time I should set fro the beginning of X-axis since each time I will have another string with different times. And also each time the sampling rate will change through a string ( e.g 10  = 10 samples per second)
My ctrl-H is always on.

---------------------------
Do you need to use all of the string functions and date/time manipulation?  You could also put in a time stamp constant and select the correct date/time you want to use.  Convert it to double (Numeric/conversion palette) and wire that into those nodes.
---------------------------

how can I do that ? can you maybe post a vi ? I have LV7.1

thank you very much

my version now is 8.2, and dont have 7.1 installed on this computer.

just try to locate the elements i show in my pic, ( in waveforms...), and apply the scientific method 🙂 (try, look for your problems, define your goals, try again, check where it fault...)

As Ben Mentionned there are quite a bit of helpers in LV, like temporary indicators, highlighted mode runing, probes and pause at specific positioins.

pls see the lastest version of my code, you will see what problem I face.

your solution is nice but in my case it is "string" and I converted to time format which is problematic.

pls just have a look

indeed you can modify if you know the solution

best regards

john

John,

Please run your VI and take a look at what is displayed in the indicator labeled "output cluster".

There is an important hint in that indicator that will tell you why you are having trouble.

Ben

PS: I am here to teach and learn. Re-writng your code for you teaches both of us nothing. Please find the problem yourself and post back showing that you have fixed it or have tried.
