Hi Parag

The best way to achieve this is to use the active X server to start the executable. If you are running windows on both machines then have a look at this knowlede-base for some Ideas.

Hi,

The link you provided was for a VI and not for an .exe file. Please help me to run .exe file. I have already opened the VI as explained in the link you posted.

Thanks a lot!

I haven't tried downloading it yet, but the web page you cites says that the code is written in LV 5.1. Can current versions of LV even open V5.1 VIs? Or is the web page incorrect?

I'm not sure about the security issues but is there a way that you could do it just using the command prompt. ie. "system exec.vi" ?

Can you explain that question more clearly?  Windows XP and NT are two different operating systems.  You have one or the other.  (Actually XP is a much later version based on NT)

I have Windows XP installed but the link which was given above for dcom configuration states that running an executable remotely is only supported on Windows NT.
