Hi, my project consist in solving a Marble Maze using 2 Servos, a tilting table, image processing and myRIO. (see below)
The maze will be solved by detecting the maze walls and the ball position.
I am wondering what sort of polychromatic (color) camera from national instruments is the best to use for this project and why?
Also, what are the camera specs I have to be looking at?
Thanks in advance

Here's the choices you have:
http://www.ni.com/nl-nl/shop/select/area-scan-camera
The criteria are clear: price, resolution, frame rate, interface, lense mount. It would be really hard for us to come up with requirements for your project. I'd say the cheapest would do, but I don't know if you need a high frame, high resolution or special lense mount or interface.
Note that "the best" is ambiguous. You usually pick the cheapest that fullfil the minimum requirements. A more expensive one is usually better in some way, but if you don't need it why pay for it?
Next step is picking a lense... That's probably more difficult.
