Hello. I am using the latest MAX4.6.1 and I am having the following error "database file is corrupt". It says to go to the following link to resolve the issue: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2C7480E856987FFF862573AE005AB0D9. When I try to follow the steps in their I am also having problems. In particular when I try to stop the "netstop mxssvr" and the other services it says I don't have permission. Please see .jpg screenshot. Also I thought I would just try todelete the "Data" directory since that sounds like the problem, butit wouldn't let me delete the "config3.mxs" file because it wasrunning in another problem. I looked at the task manager, but I don't seeany other problem that would be the problem.
I have uninstalled Labview and MAX 2times, but the problem still arises. Has anyone else had this problem? Thank you .

Hello,
Try to use the MSIBlast Utility to remove MAX and install it again.
I'm attaching here the MSIBlast Utility. Execute the file click in the option "Show NI installers only" and select MAX from the list.
After removing it, reinstall it.
If you have any doubt please contact me.

Thanks Luciano. I installed the MSIBlast, but I was unable to locate the "Show NI installers only" option? Also I tried to eliminate the MAX problem but it still opens? Shouldn't it be removed after I run it? Please see the .jpj of the window? Thanks again.

Try with this program. Please after download it, change the extension of the file to "exe". We can't post .exe files in the forum, so that is why I'm sending the file in the .doc format.
About the image you just sent to me, it is normal, because all NI drivers are dependent of MAX.
Let me know if you have any problem.
Thanks.

Thanks again. I still don't see MAX in the list? I believe it should be near where I am attaching the image. Please let me know the exact names I need to delete. Also my MAX still works with the error messege. Thanks.

Hi Kevin,
The KB you were originally following should be all you need to resolve this issue. It looks like you're running Windows 7, so if you haven't already MSIBlasted everything off your system, try this:
For step 2 in the KB, go to Start, and type in "cmd" in the search box. When you see the cmd program come up, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator". I've attached a screenshot showing where to do this.
If you're not logged into an account with admin access, you'll need to find the admin password from your network admin. Then try running through the rest of the steps in that KB.

Thanks Justin! Luckily I only "blasted" MAX partially becuase it worked
I was able to delete the "Data" folder now and after a restart the error went away.
