file permission error

I have VI's written in LV 5.0.1 that I need to open and save to LV 6.i so that I can eventually get them converted so I can access them in LV 9.0.

When I try to save the files, I get a generic "File permission error".    Any ideas of how to resolve this?  My computer with LV 6.i is not hooked to the internet.  Does the software need to check in with the home company online before I can save anything?

Thanks in advance.

No, of course there is no checking with NI before you save any VIs.

Check the permissions of the folder you want to save the VIs to and compare with your priveleges.

This is a very unusual question. Are you running a bootlegged version of LabVIEW?

Not a bootlegged copy, no.
