How to change xy graph scale label positions

Is there a way of changing the scale label positions at design time?  The only way I can find to move them is programmatically which is not convenient.

Surely it should be possible to just grab them and move?

Right click >> Advanced >> Customize >>  change the tool to the one showing the tweezers and you can manipulate the individual elements such as the scale label.

But then I think you have to save the control as a new control which isn't what I want to do.

No.  You don't have to save it.  But you do need to tell it to replace the original control that exists in the VI.

Unfortunately the warning about unsaved changes will be lost is somewhat misleading.
