Data acquisition using Labview FPGA

Hi dhananjay,

2. I believe so yes, LabVIEW does have access to the folder. I have mapped the drive to the pc using network map drive.

  • Why do you "believe"? Why don't you check and "know"?
  • Which "LabVIEW" has access to that folder? The "LabVIEW" on your Windows pc or the one on your cDAQ? (The VI running on your cDAQ has to have access to this folder!)
  • What happens when you don't access that folder from your pc (i.e. don't map that folder as network drive)?

No, sorry, no TeamViewer possible here.

Best regards,
GerdW

what do you mean by labview on my cdaq?
I've connected the cDAQ to my pc itself using LAN, and added it to the same project on which the VI is running.

Hi Dhananjay,

what do you mean by labview on my cdaq? I've connected the cDAQ to my pc itself using LAN, and added it to the same project on which the VI is running.

Your cDAQ9134 has an embedded controller and is able to run VIs "on its own".

So it is important, which host is running your VI:

  • is it your Windows PC: save the data on your PC harddisc
  • is it the cDAQ: save the data on the cDAQ internal harddsc
Best regards,
GerdW

This will not work as explained before…

When the VI is executed within the cDAQ then it will have NO access to your PC's harddrive.

because of this reason?

Hi dhananjay,

that cDAQ is (similar to a cRIO) a computer of its own.

Usually you don't want to allow access of one computer to other computer's drives…

Best regards,
GerdW
