DAQmx Start Trigger (Stop Trigger?)

Is there a way to drive the counter gate directly?

I would like to use the gate to pause and unpause the counter.  Would I need to drive the gate from another counter or is there a way to drive the gate on/off directly "on-demand"?

I am using DAQmx Start Trigger VI to start a counter (Ctr0) using a rising edge of a pulse from a different counter (Ctr1).

I would now like to stop/pause Ctr0.

Preferably, using another rising edge of a pulse from Ctr1.

Is there a way to do this?

The dreaded answer is, "it depends."

What DAQ device are you using?   What kind of task is programmed for Ctr0?   Can you describe your app & system in more detail so we can understand the "big picture" of what you're trying to accomplish and why?
