duplicate a selected portion of a case in a case structure

Status: Declined

Have any of you created a case structure with 100 cases and each of the cases are about the same?  You would create one case, and with that case, you can do a duplication and make the changes that is needed for that new case.  You will repeat this process for the rest of the case.  When you are happy that you are done with the 100 cases, suddently, you realized that you missed something.  Ahhhhhhh!!!!!

It will be nice if there is a function that will allow you to make the change on one case and apply that change on all cases.  With the new function, you would select the new change and the codes around the change that are similar to the codes in the other cases, and select the new function called "duplicated selected section for all cases".  Wow La!! The changes are completed.

This idea is similiar to Panoramic photography when you stitch multiple pictures together.  The stitching is possible through the portion of image that overlap on each subsequent photo.

Yik

I will explicitly vote against this. Repetitive code should be generalized into a re-usable SubVI for better maintainability. (If anything, make it harder to copy and paste code.)

See below code for my situation.  The code below has a case structure with multiple cases.  They are all slightly different.  Please tell me what would you your approach on this?  Thanks!

What part is slightly different? just the polymorphic VI?

** EDIT: In the spirit of not muddying up your idea with code suggestions, would you create a post on the general LabVIEW board for the code review? Thanks, Jack ***
