Silver colored modern controls - extra option

With LabVIEW 2011 the new silver look was introduced (also the FP background panel color changed). Because some new silver controls are not polished enough (see example below and Silver Scale Legend idea, etc.) and some things are missing (tab control, decorations) I would like an option that changes the default color of the modern controls to the new silver.

So when I place a new modern control on the FP it is already in the matching color. In the current state, you have to color everything by hand, to have a nice looking FP.

The frame resizing issues for the Silver thermometer have been reported previously and are in our bug tracking system. The workaround is to resize the frame in the Control Editor.

We selected the new panel default color to be visually appealing with the Modern controls as well as the Silver controls. The old panel default color was not the same color as the Modern controls; it was the same color as the Classic controls.

If you prefer the Modern controls in a lighter color, I suggest you make a palette of custom controls. I think your suggestion to make the Modern controls "Silver" colored would mislead people into mixing the two control styles inappropriately.
