Separate label locations for Controls and Indicators

Status: Completed
Available in LabVIEW 2012

More often than not, one location doesn't work for both. Here's an idea:

This is a great idea I asked for in the 2009 beta, but it didn't make the cut.

However, this can be done in 2009 with a few tricks:

Ctrl-Space (to open quick drop)

Ctrl-SHIFT-t

violla! The control/indicator labels on the BD are automatically aligned to the left/right.

See more about this here: http://labviewartisan.blogspot.com/2009/08/write-your-own-quick-drop-keyboard.html

nrp: Great easter egg! Thanks for the tip. Odd that they put it within the Quick Drop framework.

Easter egg? Read more about this new keyboard shortcut and others like it in the LabVIEW 2009 Upgrade Notes or in the Quick Drop Dialog Box Enhancements section of this LabVIEW Help topic 🙂

This is long overdue

I have asked for this for several years now and posted on the Product suggestion Center some years ag.
