LabView BeagleBone support

Status: New

Hi!

Since National Instruments offers support for programming ARM microcontrollers, I think it would be great to start supporting programming very popular recently BeagleBone development board made by Texas Instruments. You can find more information about this device there: http://beagleboard.org/bone . Please kudo it 🙂

A great idea that will come in very handy!

That is why I quit labview and started kernel+linux programing...

As Iong as I know, NI is nomore supporting ARM devices.

The reason for that, I belive, NI prefers their own hardwares are used.

But it is still great idea.

I believe that NI is supporting ALL 8/16/32 bit processors with the C Code Generator.

Before considering the C Code Generator, ask one simple question. How much is it? Make sure you're sitting down (or have a good sense of humour!).

TI now has the BeagleBone Black version out.  $45.  That would be an outstanding platform for building great projects upon.

A powerful developement board for $45 is a good platform. Great business opportunity here for National Instruments to increase the scope and popularity of LabVIEW.

Hi guys,

I tried running a stand-alone .exe file generated from Windows 7 based LabVIEW 2013, but it doesn't work.

I'm also trying to use NI-USB DAQ hardware with beaglebone black (rev.B) without installing actual LabVIEW development program on it. Anyone have done it already? Any support will be great !

This is the Idea Exchange thread you posted into where you propose and discuss new ideas about how to improve LabVIEW.

You have a general support question.

You need to post a new message in the LabVIEW forum.
