Insert > In Place Element Structure onto wire

Status: New

I wish there were an easier way to insert an IPE Structure onto a wire.

For example, I'd like to right click on a cluster and insert an IPE Structure and have it automagically add the IPE with Unbudle/Bundle nodes.

This would make sense for Arrays, too (adding Index/Replace nodes).

Maybe someone want's to create a plugin for the JKI Right-Click Framework that does this 😉

YES. This, please, but more. 🙂

This one escaped me for a few weeks.

Yep, I like it. I would be happy if, instead of the Add option, it just worked when you drag an In-Place structure over a wire. As it is now, I have to delete the tunnels it makes, then add the In/Outs, then wire it up .

Maybe this could be enabled to work with quick drop insert?

That should really work with the quick drop, yes!

Also, when you left click a cluster or a data reference, for example, you could tell Labview "use as unbundle", or "read value reference" and just like shift register, ask where is the other part, "bundle", or "write" in my example.
