Hi everyone,
This is my first post here. I took the CLD exam this morning and completed the programming portion in about two and a half hours. I spent another hour on documentation and final clean-up. Overall, it felt pretty easy to me. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or want to know more!

Hey,
I’ve been preparing for the NI Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) exam for about a year and a half, and I’d like to get a better idea of what to expect. Could you please share:
How the exam is conducted and what the overall difficulty level is.
The types of applications or programs they usually ask candidates to develop
Which programming architectures are most suitable or expected for the exam.

Hi,
You will work on a LabView project and complete the functionality on a virtual machine, also need good style and comments, the exam is 4 hours. If you have been programming in LabView for 1 or 2 years developing medium to large applications exam should be easy.
The project can be ATM machines; Vending machines... You can look at the sample exams for more.
They expect you to use state machine and functional global variable programming architectures.

Hey
Nice to hear it felt manageable.
Quick question — what kind of task did you get?
Also, what things really matter for scoring well?
Anything you think we should definitely get right or common mistakes to avoid

Thank you so much for your reply
the kind of work i did is interfacing three components and acquire the data from one electronic component for that i used state machine architecture and i am having problem in decoding the question and as of my notice i always think in complex way . so as i said i dont have that enough infromation about the exam and how it conducted ...
if you dont mind can you explain .
