hi there
LV 8.0: there seems to be a bug in the Text File IO functions. Incomming errors set the refnum to NULL.
Topic is discussed here: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=204042&jump=true

Kennon confirms that if you are using a custom run-time menu in an exe, "ctrl-E" is not available so you can not debug an executable.
He also offers some advice on how to deal with the complication.

Roy F confirms that LV will not (without help) utilize more than four proccessors.
He confirms that using the "threadconfig.vi" utility will correct that situation.
A CAR has been filed to investigate.
