Has a nice beat to it, eh?

Huh, a bit late, but I must be a slow learner. I never realized it was Morse code.

Anyway, for those who don't know what this is about:

The sound isn't great, but it's the live version, so it has the drum solo in the middle.

Tebow > Backawards Passing Facemask Steelers!! I'll admit it wouldn't be as sweet if the Refs weren't in the Steelers pocket.

29 23 kept waking me up last night.

I thought it was a great game last night and there is no shame in losing to a "miracle" (as some in the media has charaterized it).

Cograts to Denver!

RE: refs

If the refs were in the the Stillers pocket, why is the football season over?

My own opinion is that Denver keeps doing this because their opponents keep chalking things up to "miracles".  Rex Ryan, **bleep** LeBeau and others feel like it is a fluke and could never happen to their defense.  I think they both looked not only to win, but to send some type of message about the Denver offense.  Both of them got sucker punched.  Much "worse" defenses and coordinators sat back, gave up some rushing yards but very few scores.  Who would think the Patriots defense would outperform the Steelers, or anyone for that matter?  If the Steelers had taken Denver seriously the outcome would have been very different.

>  If the refs were in the the Stillers pocket, why is the football season over?

Maybe there is a higher power than even the NFL and TV networks. Smiley Very Happy How the supposed top officials in the game blow a call on a play (bubble screen) that the Steelers run over and over again (backwards pass and all) is beyond me.  Given that I figured the Broncos margin for error was razor thin, that mulligan was huge. I pretty much assumed Denver had to make every single play given their limited opportunities.  I would never have dreamed that DT would drop a post pass with a step on Troy P, Champ would drop an INT, Dumervil would be offside on another INT, McGahee would fumble, the refs would botch a fumble call and Denver would still win the game.  Now I don't think the miracle is related to Tebow, the miracle is that Ike Taylor has a job in the NFL.  And I for one thank whatever higher power is responsible for that one!  Smiley Tongue

Now the tie is broken, 4-3 Denver in the playoffs!  Now where is Romo to do the "what were you thinking?" headslap?

Oh, and do you think Big Ben really thought there was a threat of losing when he pulled that hat out of the closet to bring for the post-game press conference?   They might take them a bit more seriously next time, and teams that take Denver seriously tend to put a beat-down on them, much like Giselle's husband is going to deliver on Sunday.

Edit:  Lithium feels the same way about Pittsburgh's D-coordinator as much of the city right now!

Of that I am sure but my question remains un-answered.

There is an old parable about the pious man on his deathbed who kept praying to win the lottery.  Finally after a few weeks pass and he hasn't won, he questions his faith and asks God "Why have you foresaken me?"  At that point God asks "Could you at least help me out by buying a lottery ticket?"

In this case, the refs may be in the Steelers pocket, but they had to ask "Could you at least help us out and make a tackle?"

Of course two things I have become sensitized to greatly bias my statistical interpretations:  1) The Steelers getting a highly questionable call with high impact, there are always bad calls all around, it just seems the Steelers make theirs count 2) Is it just me or does James Harrison's helmet find the opponents helmet or knees more often than not.  I can choose to be objective and try to rationalize, or just be a fan.

Well I can help you out with #1.

Tebow is not the only person that knows how to pray.

My son knows exactly two signs, "more" (touching fingertips) and "touchdown!".  And he probably now knows to stand back when he hears me yelling "Go! Go! Go! Touchdown!"

Now I will have to call the move "Goodell-ing" as now I have a vision of the commish in luxury box kneeling and asking "call it back, call it back, ..."  Then again, these days I am not sure who has more power....

Something to think about is that we have so many people on this forum that we even have to have this discussion. It is one of the few forums that I can log on to and get an answer within minutes not days or weeks.

All contributions are good including the questions. I learn from others asking questions and have even learned from the Rube thread when someone uses less that efficient coding.

This is really a great that we can have this discussion. I find it hard to even answer questions anymore because there are so many people helping. It may also bee that I need three or four more people working for me but no authorization to hire them. Life in the big city I guess.
