I stand corrected...  Family members??  😉
What do they eat?  They must be near the opening / exterior. I don't know enough about caves...

OK, here's my contribution.

The attached picture is what I see when I look out of my bedroom window in the morning. It's not embedded because it's very wide.

Does anyone else have interesting scenery outside their window?

Window view reminds me of Las Vegas when I lived there. Palms, cypress, tile roofs, stucco construction, underground utilities.  110+ F weather with a ski resort 2 hours that could be Mt Charleston. Hmmm

Hmm indeed, but no.

From now on, only guesses which are specific (like this one) and grounded in facts (again, like this one) will be acknowledged.

I am going to say you live in nevada somewhere closer to the cali side  and your ski resort is in California... sorry for no specifics.

The second term was "grounded in facts", so no response.

BTW, AK2DM got 5 stars for his reasonable guess.

tst, this is quite the test with only a visual cue, a summer temperature of 110+ F and within 2 hours drive time of a ski resort at 6000+ feet.

Well, I am fixated on the desert SW of the US, and since you supplied english units, I will continue the pursuit in that locale, even though it may be narrow minded of me.

Arizona again, this time Tucson. Temps of 110+ are attained (though rarely since the monsoon humidity tames the heat) and Mt. Lemmon Ski Resort is well with 2 hours drive with an altitude of 8000+ feet.

AK2DM, you should take into account 2 things :

1/ on the photo, there is a blue patch that suggests strongly the proximity of the sea.

2/ in a previous post tst said "I actually live in a place where there are no traffic lights. AT ALL. As a matter of fact, there isn't a traffic light within 10 miles\16 KM from where I live"
