Problem upgrading ni-vxi driver from 2.1 to 3.5

Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade a testbench using a vxi, labview 5.1 and ni-vxi 2.1,bus mxi-2, on windows NT.

i want to upgrade on windows XP, using labview 7.0.

I have problem using ni-vxi 3.5. i think the interrupt and trigger are not driven to my on computer. I know there are some difference using driver 2.1 and 3.5 but i'm not able to upgrade our test software to be fully compatible with this last.

I read in a manual:
In NI-VXI 3.0 or later, when you enable for triggers or interrupts, only the

local controller is enabled. In the NI-VXI API functions for enabling
triggers and interrupts, the controller parameter is ignored. If you need to
enable a remote controller for triggers, use the MAX frame resource to map
the trigger back to the local controller.
...But i have know idea on how to do.

So, My question,

1) My problem come from the interrupt and trigger line handle differently on driver 2.1 and 3.5?

2)How can i map the interrupt and trigger to my computer? (using MXI-2 bus)

(I don't know so much the fonctionnement on VXI, MXI)

Thanks a lot,

Steph B.

Hello Steph.

First of all you should use NI-VXI 3.3.1 with MXI-2. NI-VXI 3.5 is used with VXI-USB.

In a second time I think you should better phone to the support. They will advice well in the different steps to upgrade your testbench.

Regards.
