NI 9147 obsolescence status

I am starting a project using the NI 9147 chassis. I have seen that this product is referred to as "mature" and therefore may become unavailable in the years to come.
Does anyone know if NI is considering making a new generation of CRIO expansion chassis or is there already a replacement at a similar cost?

I would also be interested to know this. It's frustrating when a product line is marked as 'mature' but there is no info on what is replacing it.

I have moved away from using the MXI-RIO devices for this reason too - it doesn't look like there will ever be a MXI-RIO replacement.
