I work at Telematics Wireless (www.tlmw.com) and we are considering developing ISO 18000-7 and ISO 18185 compliant RFID devices.
We are currently not members of Dash7 alliance.
We have several questions:
1. Do NI have test platform for ISO/DASH7, if not when it will be ready?
2. Please note the approximate cost for the test equipment.

Hello,
I am not familiar with the specific requirements of ISO 18000-7 other than its frequency of 433MHz. NI has some options for RFID testing, but I'm not sure if there is anything specific to ISO 18000-7, however some existing IP may be easily modified to work for that. I would take a look at the RFID Testing page at ni.com. This page has links to how NI hardware is used for RFID testing applications along with other resources like case studies. I would also take a look at the Advanced RFID Measurements: Basic Theory to Protocol Conformance Test Developer Zone document. This document has a lot of good information with some NI hardware specific system options, like the 5641R with a 5600 and 5610 down/upconverters to provide a stimulus response testing solution.

Hello,
I am with Nexjen Systems, an RFID product partner with National Instruments. Our platform is based on NI hardware and software leveraging the PXIe and FPGA Transceiver platforms with custom software developed in LabView and LabView FPGA.
Our solution supports the majority of protocols from LF to UHF and microwave and is built with the following NI components:
PXI 5600
PXI 5610
PXIe 5641R
PXIe 8108 and PXIe Chassis
NI Developer Suite
On top of this, we provide toolset software from our partner, VI Services Network. These toolsets provide the protocol specific software for testing each RFID protocol.
We support DASH7 for reader and tag test.
Please feel free to contact us at sales@nexjen.com
