PXI 8106 boot error

Hello,

I have changed the hard disk on a PXI-8106. Now by booting, followong error appears:

ERROR

Resource Conflict - PCI on Motherboard

Bus:0B   Devices:06    Function: 00

Press <F1> to resume, <DEL> to enter SETUP

No I press F1, Windows starts up, but 1 second after appearing the Windows logo, the system restarts. And every time I see the same error message. In the end I am not able to boot up Windows. What shall I do?

Hi Mitulatbati,

have you unplugged all other cards in the slots?

Have you installed any OS AFTER the change of the Harddisk?(I think so, but yoou haven't mentioned)

Have you tried to reinstall the OS or installing another one loke LV RT?

Regards,

Hello,

yes, I unplugged all the cards. Then I changed the hard disk to a brand new one, and I restored an old backup on it. But the error message appears even if I don't have anything on the hard disk.

It seems as if you may not have replaced the hard drive with one that is still compatible.  The error you see is coming from the BIOS, most likely when attempting to enumerate hardware resources (this is an educated guess).  You may want to plug back in your old hard disk to verify that this isn't some hardware failure that is new (because of possibly not grounding yourself when changing the hard drive, static electricity can destroy hardware!!!) and see if the new hardware is using resources that the BIOS cannot allocate correctly.
