Hi there,
The HDD-8265 is used the a PXIe-Controller and this controll can be contected to the ethernet. With a Express card its conectecd to the Chassis and so the controller.
Its not possible to connecte harddrives directly to the ethernet. Here you can see it.
Maybe you can explain a bit more detailed what you want to do.

So... As I understood I can only change RAID controller settings via Ethernet...
And I can't transfer data... 😞

You dont need a Ethernet connection. You just plug it in for normal use with the expresscard and your PXI Chassis. Then you should be able to set you settings.
I hope this helps.

Yes, I saw this document, thanks!
My general quastion "can I connect RAID to the Ethernet network (with help RJ45 socket on RAID adapter board) as network store device?"...
Inside RAID disk (NI HDD 8265) we have 12-port PCIe to SATA ll RAID Adapter ARC1280ML v2 ( http://www.areca.us/support/download/RaidCards/Documents/Manual_Spec/ARC_V4.1.zip )
From the User manual -> we can only configure RAID via Ethernet connection on RAID adapter, we can't transfer data. For transfer data we need to use PXIe controller.

I am a bit confused - do you use any NI stuff? The NI-HDD-8265 has no ethernet port, so if you want more information about your hardware I would suggest you to contact your vendor.
In the linked manual there you can configure over the bios the ethernet settings, but well, as this is not NI I cant tell you anything about that.
