Hi,
Navigating through the forums lead me to think that NI does not provide any valuable help regarding PTP 1588.
That's a problem since PTP is a very nice protocol.
Anyway, I give it a try : it seems that the PXI-6683H does not respond to Delay_req, with a Delay_resp.
Does any NI engineer can confirm that ?
If so....why?
Thanks

I think you would get a better answer from NI by raising a Service request

The PXI-6683H does support IEEE-1588v2. If you haven't already, I'd follow these instructions to ensure the card is configured to run the protocol: https://www.ni.com/tutorial/53115/en/

Yes I already did this.
It works fine, I'm only concerned that the board provides good "sync" and "followup" messages, but seems to fail to respond to "Delay_req" from the slave with a "Delay_resp" message.
It leads to a "small" correction error.
I have to dig a bit more about this.

Here is the answer :
The 6683H is 1588v2 compliant.
To get Delay_Resp messages, you have to configure your PTP client in the right way (DTII from Greyware in my case) AND you have to take care of the particular case of PC/PXI startup.
