simple question to string value test function

Solved!
Go to solution

Hey guys,

I´m just started by using teststand.

My simple question relates to the "string value test" function. What is the difference between the "Comparison type" CASE SENSITIVE and IGNORE CASE? From my point of view are the names not really self-explanatory.

To avoid simple and stupid questions like that I tried to use the internal help function. Am I right when I say that the help functions are not that good as in labView? I couldn´t find any answer to my question ... hmmm ... how are other people handle this situations? (apart of just trying?)

Thanks for your help 🙂

Hi

CASE SENSITIVE:   This will fail if you compare    "HELLO" with "Hello"  or  "A" with "a"

IGNORE CASE:       This will pass if you compare "HELLO" with "Hello"  or  "A" with "a"

Hope this explains
