STDF PRR Field

Hey Ed,

Yes, what you have there looks correct to me. I would expect the Part_TXT field in the PRR to be populated with that expression. Here's an example from my test program with a similar Statement step:

I don't think TSM 2016 support writing to PRT_TXT of PRR.

It is not about the STDF version, it is about whether the TSM version exposed a way for the user to log data to other fields like PRR.

Hi Santhosh,

Thank you for your help.  If the STS package (LV, TS, TSM regardless of version) accepts the statement at runtime ... should it work?

Thanks,

Ed

I was testing with a newer version (TestStand and TSM 2021). After that note, I installed 2016 to try it there and saw similar behavior to you where the PART_TXT field wasn't being set.

After investigating further, it looks like we discovered that the functionality to set the PART_TXT from MainSequence stopped working in 2016, and we re-added that functionality in TSM 2019. That explains why it was working for me on a newer version. Our apologies for the incorrect documentation in the 2016 version.

So there are two options to set PART_TXT:

  • Upgrade to TestStand 2019 or newer, or
  • Set the PART_TXT field within the StartOfTest handler driver entry point (if you are using a handler, and if you have the data to set the field at that time).
