How to use the variable type expression (String)

It is a basic question but I do not found any documentation about the variable type expression.

What is it for?

Hi,

Add this variable to the test sequence.Its just a string type.

They are predefined variables types.

For example : Error type is compatible with LV Error type.

i.e. for an error output from Labview you can connect to a variable of type Error.

Similarly Labview waveform data types.

Not sure where expression is used...but from a TestStand perspective its just a string...same like Path.

The variable type Expression (String) is similar a simple "string" as you said, but add a validation to the "string" as a expression.

Maybe this is the main diference.
