VNC on cRio 9030

I would like to take control of my cRIO 9030 through VNC.

Does anybody already did that ?

I did that at some point quite a bit back, not sure if it was something with the actual packages available on the repo or something one-off that I did. It seems that there's not really anything installable from the feeds.

As such, you basically have three options going forward:

• building a VNC server on the controller itself or through something like a cross-compilation setup
• using the same build system that NI uses to build a vnc server package to copy to the target and install
• attempt to find a suitable package for a compatible distribution and manually extract and install

I personally would recommend either of the first two options

Finally I found a solution. I installed RealVNC on the cRio-9030.

I used VNC for Linux.Generic installer 64 bits.

It works perfectly.

Could you please write what exactly I have to do to install VNC on cRIO? I have downloaded VNC-5.3.1-Linux-x64-ANY.tar.gz archive on my computer, but I'm not sure how I can install it on cRIO and setup the connection after all.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
