Printing instruments in black and white

I'd like to print a circuit with instruments on a laserjet (black and white) but no matter what I do the instruments show as black rectangles - see below

And yes, they do show up if I print in color.

Many thanks in advance for any help

Joe

Hello,

Go to File>>Print Options>>Print sheet setup. In the output option filed make sure that In black/white is enabled. This is what I got on a HP LaserJet 4250:

What's your Multisim version?

I am in 11

That setting was already active, alas. In fact, print preview shows the same blacked-out displays.

Hi Joe,

Which version of Multisim and what instruments did you use? Would you also be able to upload your circuit if that's convenient?

Joe,

In my first test I used Multisim 12.0 (latest version) and everything was ok. I just tested this in v.11.0.2 and was able to reproduce the problem. Actually I found out that this problem was reported before and fortunately it has been solved in v.12.0.

As you already saw, printing in color works. A possible workaround is to install a PDF Converter and print the file in color, then print the generated PDF file in black and white. There are many PDF Converters available, I used CutePDF Writer (free) and got good results.

On the other hand if your Standard Service Program (SSP) is active you are eligible to install Multisim 12.0.

Hope this helps Joe, we apologize for the inconvenience.
