Hi,
Datasocket is built upon TCP/IP technology so its easier to use because you don't have to worry about TCP/IP level programming. However it may be slower than TCP/IP because of the extra overhead. Here are a few documents that discuss Datasocket.

Hi,
There are several Datasocket shipping examples that get installed when you install LabVIEW. You can go to the LabVIEW Example Finder and search for "datasocket" to access these examples. If you are looking for something specific and cannot find it, please let me know.

Hi Chaitanya,
Congratulations on getting an offer from Infosys. I think it is a great place to work.
Since you are in academics, National Instruments offers you several free services. They are all listed here
I think it is best that you contact the local National Instruments office in India by making a FREE Call to 1 600 425 7070, or sending an email to ni.india@ni.com Phone: +91 80 51190000, Fax: +91 80 51190010; ask them if they have know of any local companies that could provide you with some training.

Hi Chaitanya,
I work at National Instruments' corporate office in Austin, Texas (USA). FYI whenever you see a blue bar next to a person's name (as in my case) in NI Discussion Forums, it means that the person works with National Instruments.
I would strongly recommend that you contact the Bangalore office of NI India for your query.
Regards,
Ankita
