SCB-68A testing

Hi All,

I am wondering on how to correctly test whether my SCB-68A is working or not? I am affraid my SCB-68A has been damaged.

I am able to detect PCIe 6535 in NIMAX software but I couldn't connect my water level sensor to LabView or NIMAX test panel.

My water level sensor (LVCN 414) is also working fine when I tested it without NI DAQ.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Why don't you try "Loopback Test"?

For example,

AI0+ <--> AO0

AI0- <--> AO GND

If you can read correct value, SCB-68A is not damaged.

Hi Emboar,

Thank you for your reply, I searched through this forum right after your reply to my message.

Yes, I did "Loopback" test, I set AO0 to 1 V and create a connection between AO0 and AI0+, and the result was still the same, no matter what number I set for the value, NIMax test panel didn't give me the value I expected. Here is the picture of the test panel.

I read another posting

It might be an indicator that my PCIe is broken, isn't it?

Thank you.

SCB-68A is just terminal block, i don't think it is fragile.

Have you tried DAQ Diagnostic Utility?

DAQ Diagnostic Utility 2.1 - Windows 7 32-bit/7 64-bit/Vista 32-bit/Vista 64-bit/XP 32-bit

Please try another SCB-68A or DAQ card if you have.

I don't have more either SCB-68A or PCIe 6323. I checked it with the DAQ Diagnostic Utility software, it passed all the test. However, I didn't get the correct value with the Loopback test. Do you have any other suggestion?

Thank you.

If you cannot measure valid data, SCB-68A would be broken.

Call NI and borrow SCB-68A to check the state.

Hi Emboar,

Thank you for your help. I opened a new topic in wiring configuration, maybe my wiring configuration that was wrong. Hopefully, someone will have a suggestion.

Thank you.
