Hello Oxygen,

I am unable to find any information from either the National Instruments site, or Axon's site regarding compatibility between the Axon drivers and LabVIEW. You may want to contact Axon directly to see if there are any compliance issues or any specific drivers that you will need to get functionality.

What you may want to do if there is no current instrument driver created for your device, is to go to www.ni.com/idnet and request if you there is any chance of finding or having an instrument driver created. Of course, there is no guarantee that requesting a driver will get one created, but the more requests National Instruments receives for the same instrument, the higher the chances of one being made.

Good
luck on integrating your system.

Hey Srikanth,

The only other way that I can think of is looking for some documentation that came with your Axon Instrument that describes interfacing with LabVIEW. You may want to look into the manuals or even trying to contact Axon for help on this topic. Good luck getting your operating running.

Hi Jared A

I spoke to people at AXON all they have is a driver in C and they dont plan to develop one in the near future for labview. I guess it wud be easy if i cud get hold of one if someone is using.

If you have access to a driver that was written in C, meaning that you have a .dll file that was written in C, then it is possible to use that driver with LabVIEW to accomplish your application. What you'll need to do is figure out how the DLL works (function definitions, function prototypes, etc.), and use the Call Library Function Nodes in LabVIEW to call that driver. The tutorials on Integrating DLLs in LabVIEW will assist you on the LabVIEW side of things.

In regards to finding a instrument driver that is already created for your Axon instrument, unless there is one already created, all you can do is submit a request on the o
riginal website that I directed you to. The rest will be up to good faith.

I hope that I was able to help you out. Good luck.
