Help with USB-6000

Hi,
I have a new USB-6000 device.

I am trying to connect sensors but from the output, the voltages do not change when I attach an accelerometer or thermocouple or any sensor at all.

When I shake the accelerometer, the voltage doesn't reflect the change.

it is almost as if the device isn't picking up the sensors at all.

The only reading I am getting in analog input is the base voltage reading.
I am pretty sure the sensors are working as they worked on an old device.
What could be the issue.

Thanks

You need to explain in details (with photo, connection diagram, VIs etc.,)

  1. How the sensors are connected with the DAQ
  2. How you're capturing data to verify the sensors are working - DAQ settings are important

Are you connecting your sensors differential way or single ended , check which one is correct for your connection

thanks

I am using single ended as the DAQ device only accepts single ended.

The software i use is daq express

The sensors needs an external power source as the DAQ device doesn't power up the sensors.
I have attached the schematic diagram of the accelerometer.
connected the output axis to channels 0-2

ground and 10v power supply from an external source.
attached the daq express software photo showing the voltage outputs (these are the same outputs i get when no sensor is attached as well)

Thanks

Okay I have been able to figure out the accelerometer but how do I make the type k thermocouple work and actually measure voltage changes when i place the thermocouple in hot water.?

the attached picture is from the daq device datasheet.
I have attached the full datasheet for the usb-6000 daq device.

USB-6000 specifications is insufficient to measure a Type-K thermocouple reliably.

With 26-135mV error over temperature and AI range, it covers the entire working range of Type-K Thermocouple.

Type-K TC generates -6.458mV(-270 degC) to 54.886mV (+1373 degC) as per this reference.
