DAQ recommendation

I wanted to find a DAQ system for following instrument. It has a 9 pole D-Sub output connector with 0-10V range. Sampling rate can be 100S/s or less so not a  big problem. But on NI website I am only finding 2 D-Sub connection DAQs in PCI-6221 and PCI-6154. The latter is out of my budget which is less than $1000, so leaves only with one option. However, I cannot find PCI-6221 data sheet so I need help in:

1) Getting PCI-6221 datasheet

2) Is there any other DAQ/configuration would recommend that can be better in terms of maybe I can use other sensors also with it not just limited to this instrument (I can buy some sort of adapter for this instrument to connect to DAQ) that way I have some options to consider. Ideally I want the connection from DAQ to my computer to be USB not PCI.

Don't be fixated on the connector.  You can make your own cable, which those using this with a PLC will do.

You could probably go with a low end DAQ such as a USB-6000, which goes for ~$200.

If all that you require are these,

  • Measure 0-10V analog signal
  • Sampling rate 100S/s

I will also recommend the low-cost USB-600x series same as crossrulz and create a custom cable

Ok I see the USB have screw terminals so I would have to do a DSub to screw terminal adapter?

You just need a DB-9 connector (like this one) and some wire.

Since you keep looking for a readily available adapter despite the recommendation to create a custom one, I would assume you're not from an electrical background?
