Cannot Find PXIe-1090 in MAX

I have not been able to get it to work since the BIOS update. I cannot revert because it was a security update and does not allow reversion.

  • Dell Pro Micro Plus QBM1250 (a mini-PC)
  • The Thunderbolt port is via an option you can specify when ordering the PC, a PCIe to Thunderbolt expansion port.
• Chassis and module(s) involved
  • PXIe-1090, PXIe-4468
• Operating system(s)
  • Windows 11 Enterprise, 24H2

  • 25.5.1f0 on the 1090 (can see when plugged into Dell Precision 3590 Laptop), 25.5.0f269 on the 4468, 
• Did it work before the BIOS update?
  • No, it never worked. I’m currently running BIOS version 1.8.1. That was updated from 1.7.0 a few weeks ago when Dell released it. Neither of those versions worked.I tried downgrading to 1.1.2, 1.3.0, 1.4.4, and was blocked when it tired to flash by the message: “BIOS Update blocked due to unsupported downgrade.” Downgrading to 1.6.2 was allowed, but didn’t change anything shown in NImax or add any other relevant BIOS options.

The symptom is the same as above: the PXIe-4468 module shows up in NImax and passes self-test, but the PXIe-1090 does not show up in NImax, and cannot be used with the Python SW we use to run our experiments becuase trigger routes can't be found.

The same PXIe-1090 and 4468 plugged into a Dell Precision 3590 laptop work fine.
