3rd Party cDAQ / RIO Modules

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I'm searching for an alternative Switch Matrix / Multiplexer to the current Keysight unit I'm using.

In doing so, I came across this company called Wireflow, they make 3rd party modules for cDAQ, offering interesting functionalities not available from NI.

Here is a link to the available devices: https://www.wireflow.com/products/io-modules/

I was not aware that 3rd party companies created anything like this, so I'm posting this to ask you guys if you know of any other interesting 3rd party modules for cDAQ and RIO?

Found a reference (probably dated) for cRIO, did not yet find any list for cDAQ:

You could in the past purchase a C modules development kit (MDK) (~ $6000) that gave you the documentation and some low level drivers to design your own modules. You also have to buy empty C module shells and fronts from NI for manufacturing your own modules.

To be allowed to buy the MDK you had to sign a special agreement that obligates you to some stringent secrecy about the documentation you receive in the MDK.

I'm not sure you can still get the MDK officially. It certainly seems difficult to find it on the NI site nowadays.
