overlapped images

I have teststand running test modules in Labview to do tests using a PCI-1409 board. Sometimes I get overlapped images when using the interlaced capturing mode. I am using 3 cameras on the system and ocassionally when it is capturing and image for one of the cameras I get part of the image from the previous channel being used. I requested help with this problem in the past and NI support suggested using a property node to set to the desired channel number this did not make much difference. At the end changing a board did the trick, still I am wondering if there is an alternate software solution since, overall, the boards seem to work Okay.

Thanks in advance.

Hello robinchagoya,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.

Since the 1409 is multiplexed, it sounds like the timing signals on the cameras are not synchronized. If your cameras are not genlocked (synchronized), then the frame rate will be reduced in order to allow for reconfiguring the acquisition. Note that you will need IMAQ Vision to use the WindDraw VI. If you do not have Vision and you are using LabVIEW 7.x, you can replace the WindDraw VI with an Image Display Control on the front panel.

Are these examples similar to the VIs you are using?

I cannot be certain what is causing this particular issue. If changing the board fixed the issue, then the problem may be hardware related.

Best Regards,
