problem about image grabbing with external trigger

I am having a problem about image grabbing with external trigger.


I set up the IEEE 1394 camera with trigger Mode 0. Most of the time, the camera works OK. However, sometimes it keeps on grabbing images as if it’s working in trigger Disable mode. If I reboot the system, it will be OK. It happens randomly.


By the way, we use CVS (Compact Vision System).

Hello,

Have you tried using any of the IMAQ 1394 shipping examples? There are three examples that shipped with the 1394 drivers: Triggered Snap, Triggered Grab (with DAQ), and Triggered Grab Async (with DAQ). These examples can be found at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\examples\IMAQ\IMAQ1394 examples.llb.

Try running one of those to see if the problem exists there as well. I would suggest starting with the Triggered Snap VI. If the issue does not resurface, try modifying that code to meet your needs.
