Hello.

I am a beginner in LabView 8.0.

I would like to compare two images of fingerprints (Image-A and Image-B) where, Image-A is stored somewhere in the computer and Image-B is entered by using a fingerprint scanner.

I would like to know how can I compare and match these two picture atomatically once the scanner scans and know the percentage of comparison.

I am wondering if i can find some examples that can help me and show me the process.

On way of comapring images and estimating the difference between them is to substract, pixel by pixel, image B from image A (works well with grayscale images) but in your case one  thing that might be hard to get is a reference point, because when you put your finger on a scanner, you will never place it at the exact same place nor with the exact same angle...
Depending on what your images look like you might be able to do either do some pattern matching or "rework" one of the image to adujst the angle and reference point, but that's a lot of work to do 😮

Can you upload some image from your scanner ?
