Hi
I was wondering if anyone has some information available(tutorial, example,...) about 3D Vision and Shape based or Surface based matching with a CAD model?

I have found some examples that may help you, please have a look at these.
3D Imaging with LabVIEW
This may be more for general interest, as opposed to information for your specific application, but our customers commonly interface SoftMotion with SolidWorks. Here's some documentation.

Additionally (although from a 3rd party), there is also some information on a 3D-Machine Vision Library for NI LabVIEW at the following page from the AQSENSE website:
