Pulnix to PCI-1409 connection

Hi,

I have a Pulnix TM-6701AN camera, connected through a PCI-1409 card, that works fine in the normal mode (60Hz). There are 3 other modes (by hardware switch on the camera itself) to allow 120 Hz, 222 Hz etc... however I did not succeed in taking pictures in these modes. After reading the IMAQ PCI-1409 manual carefully, I concluded that it is not a missing camera file that I need, but that I have to use an External Lock Mode, to help the PCI-1409 device to understand the incoming video signal (through BNC connector). Am I right sofar? Now I need to establish a connection between my camera and the PCI-1409 connector. I am considering to purchase the R6868 Low-Cost, Unshielded Ribbon Cable, 1 m. Is this a good choice? What cables do people usually buy for this purpose?

Thanks,

Filip

Hi filip,

Again with me Smiley Wink

You can maybe call the belgian office to speak with some one to see if this is a good choice. But I don't think this is a cable reason. You need to correct the camera file to give the right "coding info" for decoding the signal (If I can explain it so). I posted you a message on the other post we spoken together.

Hi Julien,

Thanks a lot for looking at this matter.

I will try to change the camera file and settings in MAX according to your other post (IMAQ snap for Pulnix TM-6701AN ), and see how far I get. Anyhow I need the cables for triggering also, so I am buying them anyhow.

I will keep you informed if I have news (hopefully good news Smiley Happy).
