NI Vision

Hello, currently I have a automation project.

We are using an FANUC Robot (M20iA) with an FANUC R30iA Controler, a Lanoptik Camera and a computer on which we installed your niVision-Software.
Our project is about detecting a part with a camera, pick it up with orientation (angle) and place it somewhere else.
The Software is working really good with the camera. We are able to detect a part and it's orientation, but we have a problem to get the coordinates and transfer them via an Ethernet-Connection to the robot.
We tried to set up an OPC-Server with the vision software, but we don't know how to load the coordinates onto the server.
The connection between camera and computer is working. We could ping the PC from the Robot and the robot from the PC.

Have you any idea how we can fix our problem?

Hello,

For one of my project, i am planning to use the FANUC iRobot and communicate with LabVIEW. So I interested to know whether you are able to talk with OPC. If yes, could you share your experience which will be really helpful

Thanks,

Prithivi

Hello,

I have ever used a Lanoptik camera (14MP USB 3.0) in a similar project. I think you should ask for technical support from Lanoptik. You can try to download some functions or SDK from their website www.lanoptik-camera.com
